The problem
Why new managers need new skills
Moving into management changes the nature of communication.
Someone who was previously responsible primarily for their own work must now guide, motivate, support and sometimes challenge others.
Yet many new managers receive little practical training in the communication skills their new responsibilities require. They may struggle with giving feedback, setting expectations, managing difficult conversations, delegating effectively or finding their own leadership style.
What new manager training covers
The Human Voice Studio helps new managers develop the communication skills needed to lead people effectively. Training can cover:
- Developing confidence and an authentic leadership style
- Communicating expectations clearly
- Listening and asking effective questions
- Giving and receiving constructive feedback
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Handling difficult conversations
- Speaking up, presenting ideas and leading meetings
- Building trust and encouraging collaboration
Real management moments
Participants learn through practical exercises, realistic management scenarios, discussion, experimentation and feedback.
